ICYMI: Cardi B’s spiked bun and more – the essence

During the first week of fall, the stars captured all the beautiful moments we would have liked as inspiration for the “beginning of the season”. From the return of sculptural pink to brighter, more pigmented lipstick, “color toning” is the buzz word this week. After all, all of us try to search out the perfect seasonal shades.
For example, Ghanaian-American artist Amaarae paired a warm, neutral-toned auburn hairstyle with a glazed red lip outlined in black lip liner. The perfect shade of Doechia was present in the Pink Aura blush (from Juicy Cheeks palette by Bunny Cosmetics) and a color-matched lip. Lori Harvey also desired to tap into this berry makeup trend – pairing metallic eyeshadow with a dark cherry lip.
Like Amaarae, Cardi B opted for spiked buns as a fall-approved hairstyle (think: Luara SS24 show) – who pulls out a bottle of excellent hairspray. And although the season of ironing silk has officially begun, Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland and Rihanna preferred the lush curls and waves of the Nineteen Seventies.
