Movies often portray robots as harbingers of something bad, whether or not they are evil and wish to take over the world (,, etc.) or are being exploited by humans (,, etc.). But robots aren’t all bad – they will also be fun, cute and family-friendly.

Children (and adults) love putting together robot toys and determining how the several pieces work together and fit together. Robots have played an enormous role in kid’s movies for years, especially before the millennium, and movies like this one coming out within the late ’90s. While they might not be the best, they capture the ingenuity that makes robots exciting for kids.
