Nicki Minaj and her husband Kenneth Petty’s former bodyguard says they still owe more than $500K after backstage brawl

In March, Nicki Minaj and her husband were ordered by a court to pay security guard Thomas Weidenmuller after he sued her and Petty, claiming Petty physically assaulted him. Now, he says he’s still waiting for the cash.

By bringing this claim, Weidenmuller is attempting to implement an earlier judgment issued in a lawsuit originally filed in 2019.

According to court documents obtained by People MagazineWeidenmuller, who was allegedly attacked by Petty backstage during a 2019 Minaj concert in Frankfurt, Germany, filed a post-judgment costs memo and writ of execution against Minaj on September 6, and against Petty on September 13, for $526,110.74.

Weidenmuller initially asked for $21,000 for medical expenses and one other $700,000 for ongoing injuries and emotional pain and suffering. A judge eventually narrowed the amounts to a complete of $503,318. That amount was ultimately awarded to Weidenmuller as a part of a default judgment because Minaj and Petty didn’t respond.

In this latest filing, Weidenmuller is attempting to implement the previous judgment with a writ of execution issued by the court. This move provides the potential to force a possession judgment obtained by the plaintiff from the court. This could involve law enforcement seizing and selling the defendant’s unexempt assets to cover the balance.

Minaj and Petty married in 2019 and welcomed a son, nicknamed Papa Bear, in 2020. Since their union, the 2 have been embroiled in controversy over Petty’s legal troubles.

Petty made headlines in 2022 for failing to register as a sex offender, which stemmed from a previous conviction for attempted rape in 1995. He made headlines again in 2023 when he was jailed for 120 days for “making threatening remarks toward a specific person in the company of a person with a criminal record” for making threats against Offset.
