In the clip, the white woman detailed an argument she has along with her husband at home. She explained that her husband “hates” the small table lamps in their home because he often has to show them off when she forgets.

Addressing Harvey directly, the woman asked, “What does Marjorie do around the house that you can’t stand? And is there any way we can compromise on my lamps?”

The “Original Kings of Comedy” star shook her head in disbelief on the woman’s query. She then replied, “Why are you dragging out my marriage?”

“No, I love everything my wife does,” he continued. “I don’t care what my wife does. Your husband has to learn that.”

Harvey added: “My father taught me something a long time ago: It’s your job to buy the house. It’s her job to make it a home. Whatever she wants to do to make it a home, just shut your damn mouth.”

Steve’s advice was met with resistance YouTube Comments SectionSomeone argued, “I totally disagree with Steve this time. Both parties should be able to say, ‘Honey, I really don’t like this,’ otherwise one party will constantly feel uncomfortable, and that’s bad for both parties.”

Another person wrote: “Steve is wrong, her husband loves her, otherwise those lights would have been destroyed. She’s just being childish and not turning the lights off. It’s like guys not putting clothes in the laundry basket. It’s annoying and childish. People need to grow up.”

After divorcing his first two wives, Steve married Marjorie Harvey (née Bridges) in 2007. Their 17-year relationship became a daily topic of dialogue, with fans continuously making accusations of infidelity and rumors of the couple’s separation.

For example, one YouTube commenter responded to Steve’s remarks in the remake of “The Steve Harvey Show” by writing, “And then his wife smashed the chef.”

Unconfirmed rumors that Marjorie cheated on the Daytime Emmy winner along with his bodyguard and private chef began circulating online in August 2023.

Harvey not directly addressed his wife’s infidelity rumors in the course of the InvestFest 2023 event in Atlanta. The “Family Feud” host essentially told the audience to mind their very own business in the case of his marriage.

“I’m fine. Marjorie’s fine,” he said. “I don’t know what you’re doing, but find something else to do, because we’re fine. God help me. I wish I could swear.”

Marjorie also defended herself against gossip mongers. In an Instagram post on August 27, 2023, she highlighted the Bible verse 1 Peter 2:23.

“My husband and I don’t usually stop to address all the nonsense and lies that have been spread about us,” she wrote in the caption. “But to whom much is given, much is required. I understand that with my platform comes some responsibility to those who may not be as strong as we are.”

Much like he did in 2023, Steve Harvey used the 2024 edition of InvestFest to air out some issues. Steve responded to rival comedian Katt Williams during a conversation with ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith.

“Don’t come down off the wall to talk to some penny-ante-a–s-boy who’s got nothing to do,” Steve Harvey said. “You stopped climbing the wall, so you came up here to talk to his little punk a–. Don’t do that.”

The stand-up veterans began feuding after Katt Williams appeared on Shannon Sharpe’s podcast Club Shay Shay. In the interview, Williams called out Steve Harvey, Kevin Hart, Cedric The Entertainer, Rickey Smiley and others.
