Meghan Markle and Oprah Surprise Guests at Independent Bookstore Opening in California

Meghan Markle and Oprah Winfrey paid tribute to the literary community of Summerland, California, over the weekend.

On Saturday, September 7, the 43-year-old Duchess of Sussex and the 70-year-old media mogul were spotted at the opening of Godmothersa brand new independent bookstore on the outskirts of Montecito, where Meghan and her husband, Prince Harry, moved in 2020.

Author Laura Lynne Jackson shared a photograph on her Instagram Stories of the Duchess of Sussex standing on a stage in a bookstore and speaking right into a microphone, in response to People magazine. Jackson captioned the photo: “The most light-filled evening of speakers…”

IN various materials from the event In photos shared on social media, Meghan will be seen wearing a sleeveless and collarless navy jumpsuit, while Winfrey wore a long-sleeved cotton dress with a belt for the occasion.

It’s not hard to assume Meghan making a surprise appearance at a neighborhood bookstore opening. The duchess has made no secret of her love for Montecito and its surrounding towns. Her upcoming lifestyle brand, Orchard America Riveriais known as after the estate she and Prince Harry currently share with their two children.

The Godmother ceremony took place on September 8, 2022, the day before the second anniversary of the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
