Famed music producer Jermaine Dupri claims he inadvertently “hurt” his rap protégé Bow Wow by exposing him to Atlanta nightlife too soon.

During a candid story in a newly posted Instagram Live video, Dupri opened up concerning the wild night that saw Mr. 106 and Park, then a teen, find themselves the focal point from among the city’s famous fan bases.

Doubles I remembered that night, saying that everybody was within the studio hanging out. There got here a time when he and the older guys wanted to go to a strip club. Bow Wow, whose real name is Shad Moss, didn’t want to be left behind and begged to join.

“He was too young to come with us,” Dupri said, laughing as he told the story. “I told him, ‘Stay here, play video games, don’t blow up the studio.’ This nigga started acting up, saying he didn’t want to go (to the club) and that he just wanted to sit in the truck.”

Finally the young man resisted a lot that his mentor agreed to let him go, but he was unable to get out of the truck.

The “Money Ain’t a Thang” star said he went to the club and partied with strippers for hours. At one point, he left the party to go to the toilet but returned to his section, which was empty.

“When I came out of the bathroom, they were all gone, right,” Dupri said. “Well, remember, this was right when ‘Bounce with Me’ was just starting out, so he was kind of, you know, being who he is. These strippers were outside the club on the street dancing for this n***a in the truck.”

“That nigga was sitting in the truck,” JD continued. “He didn’t throw money, and these girls were dancing outside ’round my truck. And that nigga’s been marked ever since.”

Bow Wow also appeared on the Live and confirmed the story, agreeing that his early exposure to women had an impact on him. Both artists laughed concerning the incident because the TikTok clip cut out.

Discussion concerning the movie exploded on Lipstick Alley. Many didn’t find the anecdote funny. Some even blamed such experiences for a few of Bow Wow’s celebrity antics, which regularly make him appear to be a spoiled brat within the headlines.

One user wrote: “DCS should go to his house and ask about going to a strip club. I can’t stand that little pervert.”

Another wrote: “I see young boys and men being exposed to sexual stuff at a young age, it’s hilarious. We need to do better smh.”

Someone else commented: “Look at this. Jermaine is just as trashy as everyone else.”

Another added: “It’s understandable that there are constant arguments in his relationship.”

The two actors have had a tumultuous relationship for years. The “Shortie Like Mine” rapper addressed their relationship on Math Hoffa’s “My Expert Opinion,” comparing their relationship to that of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker within the “Star Wars” film series.

“I’m a young n—a who wanted all the information. I’m ready, I’m ready and it’s, it’s, ‘No, Bow Wow.'” He then continued, “That’s all Anakin was, Obi was the teacher, Anakin was the student. When Anakin wanted to come out, you crank it up, ‘No, Anakin. Step aside, you’re not ready.'”

The statement comes two months after Bow Wow expressed regret over signing with Dupri’s label, claiming his industry mentor retained among the rights to his releases from his days at So So Def.

In a 2023 interview with “The Breakfast Club,” Dupri, known for hits like “Welcome to Atlanta,” said that the crux of Bow Wow’s issues with him is a generational lack of appreciation for what got here before him or what helped him achieve fame.

“Bow Wow is in a position where he has to deal with you (the fans), he has to deal with the younger guys, he has to deal with the media,” Dupri said, suggesting that the pressure could force Bow to distance himself from the one who launched his profession.

When DJ Envy commented that he didn’t understand Bow Wow’s public complaints, Dupri he replied“You don’t understand it because you haven’t dealt with the person who has to go through it.”

According to Dupri, the “Bounce with Me” rapper is the victim of individuals questioning his every move as a rapper, and while JD prepared him for superstardom, it never prepared him to cope with social media and becoming the butt of jokes, hence the now viral “Bow Wow Challenge.”

“It’s just a situation where you have to know how to handle it, and when you don’t have coaching in that,” Dupri said. “I didn’t coach him. I didn’t teach him how to handle that part of life.”

Since then, Dupri and Bow Wow appear to have reconciled.

The two dads were recently spotted at Monica’s 11-year-old daughter Laiyah’s skate party, hanging out with their daughters. Kesha with the Tea posted her daughters’ reactions to their dads, and fans were thrilled to see the 2 rappers back together.

It seems that the gentlemen became friends again in May 2023, and their family feud ended in the course of the Usher’s Lovers & Friends festival.
