Natasha Rothwell to Adapt Reesa Teesa’s ‘Who Married Me?’ into TV Series
After all, we haven’t heard or seen the last of Reesy Teesy. “Insecure” star Natasha Rothwell is officially developing the infamous and viral TikTok series “Who TF Did I Marry” into a TV adaptation.
After Rothwell’s Big Hattie Productions won Diversity reports have spoken of a “competitive” bidding war at ABC, with Rothwell reportedly also set to star and executive produce the title.
“I CAN’T STOP. I WON’T STOP. LFG. @bighattieproductions,” Rothwell wrote within the caption of the post on Instagram celebrating this news.
IN joint post together with entertainment attorney Omara Harris and Tareasa “Reesa Teesa” Johnson, the trio said the deal was finalized after six “long” months of negotiations.
“(Reesa Teesa) I am so incredibly honored and humbled that (you) have entrusted my law firm with your journey to TV Land and the worldwide fame and madness that has followed since you dropped your Viral TikTok Series,” the caption, presumably written by Harris, continued. “So much more to come!! More big announcements coming your way!”

In the unique TikTok series posted in February, which included 52 videos totaling about eight hours in length, Johnson opened up about her crazy and sophisticated experience of marrying after which divorcing her ex-husband, whom she called “Legion,” who she claimed was a pathological liar.
Johnson shared all the story of the connection, from how she met “Legion” to when she began finding holes in his stories to what ultimately led to her leaving. Despite giving him an alias, viewers eventually discovered his real name was Jerome McCoy, and he has since denied Johnson’s claims. While the show has amassed over 450 million views on social media, including thousands and thousands of views, other “characters” from Johnson’s story have also come forward, including McCoy’s previous wife.
In the “following frenzy” of a binge-worthy series, Johnson landed a spot on “Good Morning America” and was interviewed by major publications like New York Magazine. A month after the series hit TikTok, she signed with CAA.
News of the TV adaptation comes just ahead of the September 13 premiere of Rothwell’s upcoming series How to Die Alone on Hulu. Rothwell, who can be repped by CAA, will even appear in Season 3 of The White Lotus, reprising her Emmy-nominated role from Season 1.
