Jamie Foxx to Open Up About His ‘Serious’ Health Issues in Upcoming One-Man Show
As promised, Jamie Foxx finally talks in regards to the health problems that occurred in April 2023 and which landed him in the hospital for several weeks.
On Monday, the 56-year-old actor and singer announced that he was preparing to perform an “unforgettable” one-man show in Atlanta, which can run for 3 nights from October 3-5.
According to the entry on his website Instagram which simply featured the phrase “What happened?”, the show, titled “One More Chance: An Evening with Jamie Foxx!” will reportedly delve into his “journey through a serious health issue filled with humor, heart, and inspiration.”
“Experience Jamie Foxx like never before in this intimate and engaging performance as he opens up about his struggles, triumphs and everything in between,” the caption continued. “Get ready for a night of laughter, reflection and authentic connection.”

According to the post, more detailed information will likely be available soon, including the concert time and tickets.
As of April of last 12 months, little was known about what led up to Foxx’s hospitalization, and he has yet to go into detail. In July, a video surfaced of the Oscar and Grammy winner discussing the experience, with him telling the gang that he had a severe headache before his hospitalization.
“I asked my son for some Advil,” he said, snapping his fingers. “I was gone for 20 days.”
Earlier this 12 months, during his speech on the African American Film Critics Association Special Achievement Awards luncheon in March, Foxx hinted that the special was in the works.
“Everybody wants to know what happened, and I’m going to tell you. But I have to do it my way,” Foxx said. according to Variety“I’ll do it in a fun way. We’ll be on stage. We’ll go back to the roots of stand-up.”
He added: “It will be called ‘What Happened’ and it will include everything that happened, especially on our side of the community.”
