Master P ‘Bout It’: New Orleans Native Named Super Bowl LIX ‘Entertainment Ambassador’

New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell announced that Master P will tackle the role of “entertainment ambassador” ahead of Super Bowl LIX.

Cantrell announced that the New Orleans native will help connect town to the world as football’s biggest night takes place in February. Master P, whose real name is Percy Robert Miller Sr., will serve town as one in every of its legendary figures. According to , his connection to the event I aim to provide recent opportunities.

“He deserves all the love, all the praise for showing the resilience of our community and for having no limits in achieving great things for the city of New Orleans,” Cantrell said during an Aug. 30 news conference.

These ventures include the “Hollywood South Collaborative,” which can teach entertainment business skills and offer mentoring to residents. Despite growing up within the Third Ward projects of New Orleans, Master P found success along with his record label, No Limits. He later evolved right into a multifaceted businessman who prolonged his profession beyond music and entertainment.

For Master P, supporting his hometown stays a priority in his recent position.

“We do it through film, television and entertainment,” the 54-year-old said. “But we also do it through business because I want people to see what I’ve been able to develop. I grew up in the projects in New Orleans and I was able to change my life and educate myself. Get out there and see more. And I want more for the city of New Orleans.”

To kick off his recent role, Master P may also join the NOLA Insight podcast. Through the platform, he’ll meet with entertainment influencers to share his journey and insights with the local people.

The entire program will culminate in Super Bowl LIX at Caesars Superdome on February 9, 2025.
