Cam Newton’s Ex-Girlfriend Kia Proctor Reflects on Their Failed Relationship

Cam Newton’s longtime ex-girlfriend Kia Proctor has opened up about her co-parenting relationship with the NFL player. The mother of 5 recently shared her experience in a YouTube video a movie titled “The Truth.”

The former couple met in 2012 when Proctor was a single mother to her oldest daughter, Shakira. She eventually moved to Atlanta to live with the podcaster. While Proctor had hoped they’d eventually marry, the couple split because Newton impregnated one other woman during their relationship.

“He had a child outside of our relationship that I wasn’t okay with, and we weren’t married,” she said in a YouTube video. “So I was like, ‘I’m not going to deal with that,’ because I thought what we had was so much more special than how you treat it. And I felt like I had no choice but to leave. I had to choose myself and my children over what he was going to do to me.”

When Proctor left, the previous NFL player already had 4 children, whom she raised one after the other through the years.

“So I was pregnant every year for four years in a row. So I had Chosen, Sovereign Dior, Camidas, and then Cashmere. Looking back, I’m like, ‘I don’t know how I did it, but hey, I love all my kids and yes, I definitely did it,'” she explained.

Still, Proctor explained that she and Cam have a “great co-parenting schedule.”

“So here we are. I think the kids are great. They’re in a great space. I’m trying to… I don’t know, I’m just trying to make sure they’re not lacking anything and that they’re mentally well. And we have a great co-parenting schedule, we’re doing great co-parenting. I feel like we’re doing the best we can and we’re succeeding,” she said.

She also added that they work one week and have one week off, which supplies her a while to breathe.

“We rotate every Sunday. It’s like I have a week off to focus on what Kia wants to do and create all these things for Kia.”

The podcaster has admitted prior to now that his ex-girlfriend deserved to be treated higher during their relationship. He admitted that he wasn’t able to be a husband on the time. Based on his recent conversation with Cheyenne Bryant, PsyD, about creating broken homes and fascinating on his podcast it hasn’t modified.

Newton is currently in a relationship with comedian Jasmin Brown, they usually recently had their first child.
