Kamala Harris Spices Up Campaign with Secret Vegetable Recipe
Kamala Harris is taking the campaign trail to greater than just politics — she’s sharing cooking suggestions and top chefs are rallying behind her.
The presidential candidate recently went viral on Twitter for sharing her secret ingredient for her greens. Harris believes that adding a splash of Tabasco hot sauce to her soul food dish will add an additional vinegary, tart kick to the dish.

“And then I cheat by adding a little bit of Tabasco… Tabasco has just the right amount of vinegar,” she said in a well-liked social media video.
She detailed her recipe, which also includes white vinegar, chili peppers, bacon, and garlic. With her secret recipe, Harris reportedly became the go-to person for vegetables for her friend’s annual Christmas Eve party.

Harris emphasized to viewers that, amongst the ideas, bacon can add plenty of flavor to a dish, and mayonnaise might be very versatile. Supporting a part-time chef and a full-time politician, the highest chefs recently raised greater than $200,000 during their “Cooking for Kamala” event on Aug. 29. Celebrity chef Padma Lakshmi and actor Joel McHale co-hosted the virtual fundraiser, which followed a trend of various groups supporting the nominee.
