Halle Berry has been head over heels in love together with her man Van Hunt for almost 4 years.

While her current love life seems to be one of natural bliss, the “Boomerang” star has been reeling from the drama of her past relationships. Berry made headlines on Sunday, August 18, after filing court documents searching for sole custody of her son Maceo in her custody battle with ex-husband Oliver Martinez.

In the documents, Berry questions Martinez’s co-parenting skills, claiming the “SWAT” actor “refuses to co-parent or communicate in a child-centered manner.”

Berry says Martinez’s lack of effort has caused a disturbing decline of their 10-year-old son’s behavior and education. People magazine obtained documents that state“Due to the Respondent’s long-standing opposition to any interventions and his prioritisation of football activities over Maceo’s educational and psychological well-being, Maceo’s academic and behavioural problems worsened and he fell further and further behind in school.”

The mother of two detailed how Martinez interfered “with getting Maceo the help he needed.”

She claims Martinez allegedly “ignored the professionals hired to help Maceo and aggressively prevented the implementation of strategies and interventions that could help” their son.

After Berry and Martinez were legally single in 2016, they agreed last 12 months that it might be best to have joint legal and physical custody of Maceo. But now, the Catwoman star believes the arrangement — by which each parent has Maceo for about half the week — isn’t developmentally appropriate for their child. She even said that when she spends long periods of time at her father’s house, Maceo “explodes.”

As an answer, Berry proposes either sole custody or “alternative, final decision-making authority.”

Despite her parents’ good intentions for Berry, those supervising her clearly imagine that is an ongoing problem for her.

One person wrote, “She has the same problem with every guy she dates. I think it’s her,” while one other echoed the identical sentiment, writing, “I definitely don’t buy that analogy. Her story speaks for itself.”

A 3rd said: “Why is she like this?! First she fights with the father of her first child for custody and now with her son. At some point you realize who the problem is.”

This isn’t Berry’s first custody battle rodeo. Before Berry handled these issues with Martinez, where she was ordered to pay $8,000 monthly alimony, she was in a legal dispute together with her first ex-husband, Gabriel Aubrey. They share a 16-year-old daughter, Nahla, over whom they went to court in 2012.

Because Aubrey earned significantly lower than Berry, she was initially ordered to pay him $16,000 a month in child support in 2014. However, in 2021, she managed to cut her fees in half, paying Aubrey just $8,000 a month as well as to 4.3 percent of any additional annual income she made, which was greater than $1.95 million.

Two years later, Berry’s good streak continued when a court ordered her annual alimony payments capped at $110,000.

As for her son Maceo, when their divorce was finalized last 12 months, it was agreed that Berry would pay Martinez $8,000 a month, plus 4.3 percent of any income over $2 million.
