Usher postpones Atlanta tour stop to give body ‘a second to rest and heal’

Usher postponed the primary show of his highly anticipated tour just hours before it was due to begin.

The “Confessions” singer announced in social media post on Wednesday that he had postponed his Atlanta performance to give himself time to “rest and heal.” Usher was set to kick off his Past Present Future Tour on Wednesday.

“Over the course of my 30+ year career, 100% of my blood, sweat and tears have gone into creating the best show and unforgettable experience for my fans,” the “My Way” singer wrote on Instagram. “I plan to do the same on this tour, which is why I have to postpone tonight’s show and reschedule it for a later date to give my body a moment to rest and heal.”

Usher added that fans “will still get to experience a little bit of the past, a little bit of the present, and a special glimpse into the future at the rescheduled show, but they’ll also get 100% of me.”

“The last thing I want to do is disappoint you, the fans, who have been eagerly awaiting this tour to begin,” he continued. “But I wouldn’t be the artist I am if I couldn’t physically give it my all.”
