The stretching industry has been growing like mushrooms after rain over the past decade.

Now, an African-Caribbean entrepreneur is launching an online fitness portal that he says is unlike every other. Called Stretching.comOwner Ramon Felix says his company offers quite a lot of full-body stretches and a user-friendly platform that caters to a diverse audience.

He further emphasized that the “revolutionary” platform is inexpensive for subscribers, at $15 per 30 days. Felix says the price is significantly lower than traditional stretching spots, as they typically have to cover operating costs, including providing trainers and staff.

“No other platform offers purpose-built workouts that consumers—young and old, fit and frail—can access anytime, anywhere, and perform with personalized playlists,” Felix said in an email.

Felix, who has 25 years of experience within the wellness industry, says he invested $75,000 in personal savings and money from his wife to start the business this summer.

However, it faces a really competitive environment. Other corporations, including StretchLab and Stretch Zone, have opened greater than 300 franchises each, according to the report. report. Apparently gyms and fitness clubs resembling Gym Guys, Life Time, and Planet Fitness also offer stretching exercises.

Felix says his company stands out from its brick-and-mortar competitors since it offers online solutions that enhance flexibility and well-being.

In addition, it hopes to capitalize on the growing number of people that have jumped on the self-care and wellness bandwagon, allegedly fueled partly by the COVID-19 pandemic and a greater interest in weightlifting. Global fitness app market the corporate’s value in 2023 was USD 9.25 billion, and it’s estimated that within the years 2024-2030 its annual compound growth rate might be about 14%.

Felix noticed that many individuals were turning to online for their fitness needs in the course of the pandemic and saw a spot available in the market. Feliz, a licensed personal trainer, says he noticed that individuals on the gym weren’t specializing in stretching/flexibility, which created a necessity to make it available to the masses.

Another challenge Felix may face is proving the critics who query the advantages of stretching improper. Some doctors have publicly stated that exercise just isn’t a cure-all for injuries and doesn’t improve an individual’s health. They argue that physical activity, resembling walking, strengthening, and cardio, can provide more advantages than stretching alone.

Felix replied: “Stretching should not be done in isolation from other exercises, but should be incorporated into an overall exercise program.”
