Meagan Good Criticized for Abandoning Wholesome Christian Image and Dressing Scantily After Divorce from DeVon Franklin

Meagan Good is a real wildcat in recent photos from “Chapter 43.”

The “Waist Deep” actress celebrated her birthday on August 8 with a sensational photoshoot that left some fans gushing over her sexy outfit and figure, while others turned up their noses.

Good was styled in a Michael Costello long-sleeved leopard print bodysuit and matching leg warmers as she posed for photos in a studio against a white backdrop. In other photos, she turns up the warmth as she’s photographed taking a dip within the pool, in a single shot boldly baring her butt while swimming.

The provocative photos were posted in two separate posts, each of which attracted the eye of a whole lot of 1000’s of followers and commenters.

One person he wrote“Meagan has always been the worst.” A second comment read, “Ugh, she’s doing better and better than ever.” And countless others filled their comments with heart and fire emojis as Good lit up their screens along with her snaps.

In her Instagram bio, she cheekily states that individuals can call her “Mrs. Good ~ If You’re Naughty” — and judging by her comments, greater than a number of people qualify.

But others said the photos were too revealing and a stark contrast to how she looked when she was married to Hollywood producer DeVon Franklin. The multi-faceted clergyman can also be a minister whose approach to working within the industry has been shaped to a big extent by his Christian faith.

The couple was married for nearly a decade until their divorce in 2022. They famously chronicled their love story and abstaining from sex before exchanging vows of their book, The Wait: A Powerful Practice for Finding the Love of Your Life and the Life You Love.

The exact reason for the split was not disclosed to the general public, although each parties have said they continue to be friends. At most, Good told Shannon Sharpe during an appearance on Club Shay Shay in June that she would never divorce her husband under any circumstances. It was widely known that Franklin filed for an end to the wedding.

During their relationship, Good was recurrently criticized by churchgoers who felt her wardrobe selections were too sexy for a girl representing God. Her then-husband was quick to come back to her defense when the actress responded to comments about her attire.

“It’s crazy how backward some of us can be as Christians,” she said. Being in 2016, when critics told her to cover up.

“My husband and I are doing everything we can to reach out to the world with a message from God in an area that many of us secretly struggle with, and some have tried to discredit a much-needed cultural conversation and reduce it to a wardrobe choice… A choice that is and will always remain between me and God,” she added.

An individual trying to come back to her defense wrote, “She was suppressing that side of herself,” though the Divorce Written in Black star never suggested that was the case.

“Those ‘church’ people were awful to her — it was a really tough situation,” one other follower noted. At least one person found a solution to use the photos as an invite to achieve out to Jonathan Majors, Good’s current boyfriend.

“Jonathan Majors has had some losses, but this isn’t one of them,” wrote an Instagram user he wrote.

The Marvel actor and Good have been publicly dating for a bit of over a 12 months. The actors’ romance began making headlines months after the “Creed III” antagonist was accused of a domestic incident involving his then-girlfriend.

Majors was convicted and sentenced to probation and a year-long domestic violence program. She was by his side during a lot of his court hearings and continued to look on the red carpet with him in tow, sharing that they were happily in love. Franklin didn’t move on along with her recent leading lady.
