Watch: How Propel Center Helps HBCU Students Prepare for the Future | Life Hacks
If you’re enrolled in an HBCU bachelor’s or master’s program and are looking for additional resources and opportunities to organize for your future in the workplace, the Propel Center could also be the place for you. Dr. Lisa Herring, the center’s president, joins “Life Hacks with Liana” to debate the importance of the program at HBCUs and the way it could profit students.
“I feel strongly that I not only want our HBCU scholarship recipients to have access and opportunity, but also to be not only equally competitive, but to stand out from the competition as being the most qualified in terms of resources, opportunities and employment,” Herring added.
“What we know best in terms of our relationship with the HBCU ecosystem is that when we can partner with (industries) and make sure we’ve created a unique pathway that’s tailored to the needs of our students, that sets them apart from the rest.”
