Marijuana use is a giant a part of Khalifa’s music and public image. In January, he joked on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast about attending his son’s parent-teacher conferences while high.

“Of course I do. I’m high. They expect it,” Khalifa told host Alex Cooper. “They know what’s up. It’s not like back in the day where you were considered a bad parent if you smoked weed. I’m pretty sure my son smells like weed. I don’t know because I can’t smell it, but I’m pretty sure he smells like weed.”

Prosecutors told AFP that an investigation into Khalifa was ongoing.
