List of best cities for renters to live in includes Atlanta in 2nd place
Atlanta has topped the list of the best cities to rent in 2024.
According to the list of “Best Cities for Renters to Live in 2024” chosen by RentCafe.com, The Georgia city ranked 2nd out of 149 other U.S. cities. Charleston, South Carolina, got here in first.
Based on aspects equivalent to air quality, housing quality, economic strength, natural amenities, and traffic, the list of 150 cities was compiled into the next categories: cost of living, local economy, and quality of life. Atlanta scored high in the local economy section, with statistics showing the economic growth experienced by renters in the town over the past five years.
Renters in the town saw their income increase by 44.6% during that period. Atlanta also ranked second in the number of annual business applications, with a complete of 472, and had a 1% annual job growth rate.
No stranger to a city that tops the list, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport was in 2023 awarded with the Airport Service Quality Award for Best Airport in North America. Additionally, the town has turn out to be a hub for firms equivalent to Delta Air Lines, UPS, Cox Enterprises and Home Depot. Hartsfield-Jackson previously won the Best Airport by Size and Region ASQ Awards two years in a row in 2021 and 2022.
