Killer Mike will likely avoid charges following Grammy’s arrest
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Killer Mike is predicted to avoid charges in reference to the brawl that led to his arrest on the Grammy Awards earlier this 12 months after the rapper recently accomplished community service.
The Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office said in a press release Thursday that Mike “successfully completed the hearing process, including the imposed community service requirement.” In February, the rapper was escorted in handcuffs by police to the Crypto.com Arena and detained on suspicion of committing a misdemeanor.
Court documents show Mike, whose real name is Michael Render, was never charged within the incident. His representatives didn’t immediately reply to a message looking for comment.
In some cases, Los Angeles city prosecutors may decide to resolve an incident without filing misdemeanor charges if the person meets certain conditions.
