Fans of “The Shop” driven by LeBron James and Maverick Carter will soon have the option to take a brand new copy of the renowned series and brand with them. On September 17, a coffee table book titled “The Shop: Where Culture Shapes Up” will hit shelves. The book boasts “never-before-seen photos, behind-the-scenes stories, and insights and reflections from the show’s hosts and guests,” and the book opens with a foreword by James himself.

“The Shop is not just about people talking to each other. It’s something deeper,” James writes, according to People Magazine“It’s about the things that shape us, the battles we fight and the journey we all embark on… Over the years, we’ve pulled back the curtain, showing the world that athletes, entertainers and artists are more than just sound bites.”

Written by Ernest Wilkins, “The Shop: Where Culture Shapes Up” is inspired by the Emmy Award-winning series co-created by Paul Rivera and Randy Mims and produced by James and Carter’s The SpringHill Company. Published by Insight Editions, the 224-page book guarantees readers a deeper perspective on the “real and unfiltered” Black hair salon-inspired discussions that fuel the long-running series, now in its seventh season and streaming on YouTube.

“We have all the time seen The Shop as greater than only a show. “‘The Shop’ has become a platform for community empowerment,” Rivera told People. “This book features quotes and pictures from a number of the most famous artists, athletes and entertainers within the true and unfiltered form you’d expect from The Shop.

“We are honored that The Shop team has chosen us to bring the authentic and honest conversations from this series into the hands of readers,” said Mike Degler, editorial director of Insight Editions. “Our goal in creating this book was to inspire readers to think differently and use conversations with the global, influential figures featured in this book to make a positive impact in their communities.”

Fans of the brand will have the option to eavesdrop on the conversations when “Shop: Where Culture is Shaped” hits bookstores and retailers in September. Pre-orders can be found now.
