The amazing dancing lion boss from Shadow Of The Erdtree is actually just two freaks in a costume

It seems that certainly one of bosses are actually more fucked up than you already thought. When most individuals have made up their mind Dancing Lion in the brand new expansion, they probably thought it was roughly what it seemed, a creature without delay regal, tragic, and terrifying in the way in which many FromSoftware executives do, nevertheless it turns on the market are much more layers. This is because this boss is not actually a lion, but just two guys in a suit.

As reported YouTube channel called BonfireVN used mods to remove various layers of the Dancing Lion Divine Beast and discover that the model was literally made from two guys. Much just like the Chinese lion puppet costumes you see in the parade, there are only two guys holding up the back and front, and while the finished product looks menacing, seeing them in motion in this striped costume is even weirder – bottom form.

The guy in the front completely buries his head inside the enormous lion’s head, but what’s most obfuscated in the newest incarnation of the fight is that his hands also cup the perimeters of the lion’s muzzle, especially its jaw. In other words, he not only leads the charge, but controls its mouth, and the roars heard from it are likely his own. You can see this in the cutscene whenever you first start the fight, but otherwise it’s quite difficult to inform when every part is moving.

The poor guy in the back is a different, sadder story. His only job is to be the lion’s donkey. He cannot do much but follow his head. Sometimes he will probably be thrown as a tail whip or he’ll offer his back as a jump for the guy in front, and the worst part is that he does this. He is hunched over and searching directly at the bottom, his hands clenched into fists as he literally clenches his fists in the meeting. To make matters worse, he has a bag over his head. He’s simply probably the most pathetic guy in the Shadowlands. If you thought you hated your 9-5, I’m sure this guy has it a lot worse.

BonfireVN’s video not only strips away a lot of the decorative style that obscures the two puppeteers, but in addition shows the fighting in this manner, which is form of funny. Again, the guy in front is completely liable for the aggression and attacks, which implies you may principally see the guy in the back flying through the air, sliding along the bottom, and twisting and turning like crazy to maintain up. The guy in the back moves more like an animal than the guy in the front, and it’s cool to see their animation and movement styles combined into this single entity.

The film is simply a great showcase for FromSoft animators. It’s very impressive to see the animations at this level unfold so easily, so if anything, it’s value watching this video to pay respect to the team that clearly worked hard on the fight. But most of all, show respect to the lion’s ass. No one desires to be that guy, and it’s often a thankless job.
