The State of Tennessee introduces its official hockey jersey
Last yr, Tennessee State University became the first-ever Black college or university (HBCU) to welcome men’s ice hockey on the collegiate level. Now, on June 21, the coach of the newly formed team revealed the player’s official home jerseys.
According to NHL.com, the royal blue jersey made made its debut on the University of Tennessee National Alumni Association’s 67th Annual Convention on the Nashville campus when coach Duante Abercrombie introduced it to the gang.

Last June, before the 2023 NHL Draft, it was announced that Tennessee would have a hockey team. Earlier this yr, he joined the hockey team for the primary time together with transfer student Xavier Abel. NHL.com reported that Coach Abercrombie was named head coach of the Tennessee State hockey team in April. He has also served as an associate or guest coach in coaching development with the San Jose Sharks, Toronto Maple Leafs and Arizona Coyotes.
The team will debut within the 2025-26 season.
