DNC places anti-Trump billboards in Philadelphia ahead of rally

As former President Donald Trump prepared for a rally at Temple University in Philadelphia, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) welcomed him with messages on billboards, mobile billboards and kiosks throughout campus buildings to indicate black voters what he thinks of them.

As the DNC looks to shine a light-weight on the heights President Joe Biden has achieved together with his student loan forgiveness efforts, all of the ads are geared toward Trump’s relationship with the Black community and young voters. “Donald Trump is coming to North Philadelphia, but he can’t fool us,” reads the mobile billboard.

“This is a disaster for black Americans.”

The ads will probably be visible in buildings on campus, but rally participants won’t must go to Temple University to see the attacks on Trump. Supporters and residents will see an enormous billboard along I-95 that reads: “If Trump Wins, Black Families Lose.”

After Trump’s appearance at a black church in Detroit on June 15 – where he called Biden “the worst Black president” – DNC spokesman Abhi Rahman reacted sharply, calling the accused businessman “a disaster for minority communities – especially Black Americans.” “He says he’s not a racist, but his past says otherwise,” Rahman said.

“He insulted predominantly Black cities over and over again, and during his time in office, jobs disappeared, unemployment among Black Americans more than doubled during the pandemic, and his tax fraud widened the racial wealth gap.”

Polling results show that 57% of black voters consider things could be higher if Biden were re-elected, in comparison with 69% of black voters who shared the identical opinion about Trump. However, Biden still sees 81% of Black voters saying they plan to support Biden over the previous president.

While Trump visited the Motor City, the DNC welcomed him with similar billboards throughout the town. According to, one billboard showed him with two other accused allies, Steve Bannon and Roger Stone — calling all of them “fraudsters.” “Trump and his comrades are in Detroit asking for your vote, but it’s just a scam,” the billboard reads.

“They don’t care about you. They are just there for themselves.”

Efforts to position billboards in Philadelphia began after Trump called Milwaukee, host of the Republican National Convention, a “scary city” during a gathering with House Republicans. It has a history of attacking majority-Black cities. In 2017, Trump referred to Atlanta as “crime-infested” and through his time in the White House he called Baltimore “infested with rats and rodents.”

While casting his vote for president through the 2020 election, Trump allegedly called the City of Brotherly Love one of the “most corrupt political places in our country.”
