Guess what? Nelly and Ashanti are already married

After reflecting that she hopes to marry Nelly on the beach, Ashanti may already be Mrs. Haynes. According to reports, the 43-year-old singer and 49-year-old rapper born Cornell Haynes Jr. they’ve been married for six months.

Many facilities, including: TMZ AND People Magazine, confirmed that court documents show the couple married on December 27, 2023 – just three months after they originally confirmed they were reuniting after a decade apart. While court documents don’t specify which city the couple married in, they do show that the wedding became official in St. Louis, Nelly’s hometown.

“This new year of my life is a blessing full of love, hope and expectation,” the R&B singer-songwriter told the publication on the time. “Motherhood is something I’ve been looking forward to, and sharing it with my family, fiancé and the loyal fans who have been so supportive of my career is an amazing experience.”

This latest news comes just days after Ashanti shared how Nelly proposed and gave insight into what sort of wedding they could be planning. She said Entertainment tonight it was a modest “beautiful, intimate” proposal at home.

“I was definitely wearing one of his T-shirts and boxers,” she said.

She doubled down on the incontrovertible fact that the resumption of their romance was an entire surprise to them.

“Never in 1,000,000 years did I feel we could be here. Ten years ago – perhaps so – but after we broke up, you recognize, I didn’t even think we might ever talk again,” she continued. “I think when you go through a breakup, personally, I just cut myself off from that person… It’s kind of like, ‘OK, this chapter is closed,’ and you just move on, you know, and there’s nothing to it. ”

When Nelly confirmed that their relationship was on again, which was initially rumored, he explained to Rasheeda and Love and Hip-Hop’s Kirk Frost on “Boss Moves with Rasheeda”: “I think it surprised both of us. ”

“It wasn’t something that was planned,” he added.

With big plans already within the works, Ashanti and Nelly are clearly big believers in “circling the block”!
