Even though Serena Williams is certainly one of the best athletes of all time, she seems to be identical to tens of millions of other women combating body image issues after pregnancy.

The tennis icon and married mother of two daughters – 6-year-old Olympia and 10-month-old Adira – has been candid about her concerns about weight gain and apparently combating the proven fact that her midsection is not as tight because it used to be when she was on court.

To take care of belly fat, Williams opted for a radiofrequency (RF) skin tightening treatment. One of her friends talked her into this non-invasive procedure and now she says it is a way to spend time together with her mother.

However, once published, behind the scenes video on how she performed this method on Instagram, fans have had mixed reactions.

Williams wrote a protracted caption explaining how she’s been feeling recently, writing, “I’ve always had trouble finding time for myself.”

“I finally felt like I could take an hour (during naptime) away from the kids and work to do something for myself,” she continued. “I always feel guilty about leaving them, but I also have to remember to take care of myself, it will only help me take better care of them.”

On her last trip to Paris, Williams said she was invited to a spa day by a friend who understood her post-pregnancy insecurities. After trying RF therapy, she said she was already seeing results.

“I see progress, my skin returns to normal and I regain my self-confidence. Look, my body won’t ever be the identical, but neither will I, because I actually have two amazing lights in my life,” she shared together with her 17.2 million fans.

She added: “I will always love my birth scars, but I just wanted to thank my friend Mia and Nat for letting me know I could take time for myself away from work and the kids.”

While some support her alternative, others implore the superstar to embrace her recent body and rejoice her “mommy curves” and the natural beauty that comes with motherhood.

“You see and feel flaws, but for many you are still flawless,” one person said. Another person said: “You don’t have to be ashamed of your mom’s belly! Every one of us, our mothers, has them! I wear mine with pride!!!”

The third comment read: “I like this Serena, but STOP” touching, fixing, injecting “your face.” A fourth person added: “No one cares what your belly looks like, they care about how you’re doing as a mom.”

This is not the primary time fans have taken issue with the Compton resident’s alleged facial work.

Some have suggested, based on Williams’ recent performances, that she could have either had some work done or lightened her skin. Others who’ve noticed a change in her appearance imagine it might be due to bad makeup or a foul makeup artist.

On the June 13 red carpet on the world premiere of her documentary “In the Arena: Serena Williams” through the Tribeca Film Festival, someone on her social media suggested that she “completely fire” her stylist due to her appearance.

Another fan jumped within the comments and said, “I agree, but it surely’s not only concerning the dress. It’s concerning the hair, makeup, lips, etc. Serena was at all times beautiful until she began fidgeting with her face. Not cute in any respect.

Williams was last in Paris earlier this month when paparazzi caught her stepping into a automobile together with her husband Alexis Ohanian and searching disheveled.

Fans immediately reacted to her outfit, hair and the way different she looks, writing, “Poor thing…who ever worked on her face should be sued…they did a really bad job.”

Serena doesn’t seem to have an issue together with her appearance, only sharing that she wants to drop pounds. The 42-year-old in a funny way shared together with her followers her journey to get back to the designer denim skirt, which in her opinion can be a marker of returning to her former size.

The first step is a belly tightening, which has prompted some fans to plead together with her to love herself as she is.
