Paula Deen’s drastic transformation a decade after admitting to using the N-word goes viral, with social media shocked by her appearance
Eleven years after she was fired by the Food Network for using a racial slur, Paula Deen is back in the highlight, and never for her cooking.
Photos of the 77-year-old chef have gone viral on the Internet, showing a radical change in her appearance.
AND Video from TikTok Deen’s May 1 post of her cooking “Spicy Garlic Broccolini” resurfaced on June 17, and fans were quick to comment on her older and slimmer appearance.
Someone in her comments remarked, “Isn’t that Paula Deen?!”
Another social media user grabbed the video and took a screenshot, juxtaposing it with one among Deen’s professionally taken headshots for the cover of her book. They focused on how different she looked without her glam squad and teased her about her aging appearance.

Not everyone was making fun of Deen for her shocking transformation. One person rationalized that nature had taken its course in the case of the disgraced chef, tweeting“She’s 77, what do you think she’ll look like?”
In addition to being a septuagenarian, Deen suffers from type 2 diabetes. She announced that she had the disease in 2012, but revealed that she was diagnosed in 2009.

Despite these setbacks, the Albany, Georgia native persevered.
In 2014, she began a nationwide tour titled “Paula Deen Live!” and established the Paula Deen Network on her website, acquiring the rights to her Food Network shows.
By 2015, Deen, according to The Sandford Herald expanded further promoted her brand with the podcast “What Are You Cooking with Paula Deen”, the radio show “Get Cooking with Paula Deen” and the mobile game “Paula Deen’s Recipe Quest”. She even returned to television on “Dancing with the Stars,” placing ninth.
In 2016, Deen continued to diversify her ventures with two latest shows: “Positively Paula,” a syndicated cooking series, and “Sweet Home Savannah,” available on EVINE. Her comeback was further cemented by an appearance on Fox Nation’s “At Home With Paula Deen,” Fox & Friends and a guest appearance as a judge on “MasterChef.”
In addition to her multimedia endeavors, Deen stays a prolific creator and publisher. She continues to publish Cooking with Paula Deen magazine and has added several cookbooks to her repertoire, including Paula Deen Cuts the Fat and Paula Deen’s Southern Baking.
Her culinary empire also includes many restaurants in various states, although a few of them have closed over time.
