Serena Williams debuts a bomb transformation after facing heavy criticism for her appearance
Serena Williams made a presence on the red carpet on the June 13 world premiere of her documentary “In the Arena: Serena Williams” as a part of the Tribeca Film Festival.
The world-class athlete, who, along with her sister Venus Williams, dominated tennis for twenty years, talks about crucial moments of her profession in an eight-episode series. The 23-time Grand Slam winner wore a flowing light pink dress with a corset that fell just above her knees.
The outfit also featured a slit that ended slightly below the hips and was paired with matching pink peep-toe platform heels and a pearl necklace. Serena put her best face forward for the occasion, opting for blonde strands styled in loose waves and old Hollywood makeup mixed with matching neutral shades of blush, lip color and eye shadow.
“She is the Moment” and “Vision” are two comments praised Williams’ performance in a photo shared on Instagram.
Several other followers said she was “stunning” and looked “perfect in pink” in a photo of her smiling while standing under the marquee on the BMCC Theater in New York. On X, someone wrote: “Serena finally looks like she should, Queen: Radiant!”
However, not everyone praised her appearance. “Then @serenawilliams you might want to fire your stylist! What the hell is happening with the dress? wrote a user who was fed up with her styling selections.
Someone else replied: “I agree, nevertheless it’s not only in regards to the dress. It’s in regards to the hair, makeup, lips, etc. Serena was all the time beautiful until she began twiddling with her face. Not cute in any respect.
Other tweets said the dress was “terrible” and Williams’ jewelry was unsightly. Another person pleaded, “Serena, please let me be your stylist for a day. Please!!!” While Serena was victorious and celebrated on the court, she didn’t receive the identical praise for her various fashion selections.
Recently, her Met Gala 2024 look was heavily criticized for being underwhelming. She wore a gold-plated gown designed by Balenciaga, paired with black gloves, black tights and black high heels.
