Shocking video shows ‘Power’ star Michael Rainey Jr. is groped by a woman during a live broadcast on Twitch

‘Power’ star Michael Rainey Jr. is speaking out against sexual violence after hundreds of thousands of social media users witnessed him being groped on livestream.

The actor appeared on TyTy James’ Twitch stream on June 9 together with several other people when the incident occurred. While James talked to the three young girls, Rainey stood within the background with two other men.

At one point, James’ sister, Jahgee, suddenly appeared next to the 23-year-old actor, whispered something in his ear and appeared to grab his crotch. The “Power Book II: Ghost” star appeared visibly uncomfortable as he tried to thwart her advances by reaching down along with his hands and shielding his genitals from unwanted touching.

In her June 10 Instagram Story, Rainey wrote: “I’m still in shock and never entirely sure the best way to process what happened last night. This is an unlucky situation that I don’t condone in any way. I am unable to take it flippantly because I do know I can be in real trouble if the roles were reversed.”

He continued: “The fact is that sexual assault is never okay, regardless of gender or status. We are all human and should respect each other. Most importantly, we should always respect ourselves.”
