Rep. Jasmine Crockett announced the launch of her “Clapback Collection” merchandise line following a heated exchange she had with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene during a House hearing last week.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the Democratic congresswoman announced her latest enterprise selling merchandise that can include “a variety of goodies, including random stuff,” she said.

The first item shown was a T-shirt that read “Bleach Blonde Bad Build Butch Body,” a comment Crockett made during last week’s House Oversight Committee hearing, apparently directed at Greene after she made comments about Crockett’s appearance. Crockett explained that proceeds from the fundraiser would support Democrats’ efforts to take care of control of the House.

A confrontation between Crockett and Greene occurred during Thursday’s hearing when Greene commented on Crockett’s appearance, saying, “I think your false eyelashes are ruining what you’re reading.”

This remark led to a series of exchanges between the 2. Crockett responded by presenting the hypothetical challenge to the Congressional Record in blunt terms, emphasizing the inappropriateness of Greene’s comment.

Crockett later asked what she said was a hypothetical query about what might violate congressional protocol.

“I’m just curious to better understand your ruling,” Crockett said, referring to the choice made by Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.). “If someone on this committee starts talking about someone’s blonde, poorly built figure, that wouldn’t be engaging in personalities, would it?”

Crockett told CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday she defended her answer, assuring that he doesn’t regret his words. – No, because that is the point. I signed up as a member of Congress. That doesn’t suggest I should take a position where I shall be disrespected,” she said.

Crockett explained her standpoint intimately Hill, where she called Greene’s comments “absolutely” racist. She noted that Greene didn’t make similar comments in regards to the appearance of his white colleagues.
