Summer is just across the corner, so what which means: putting in the trouble to exercise on the gym, at your local Pilates studio, and even within the comfort of your individual home.
But where to start?
If you wish some inspiration, take a take a look at a few of our favourite stars. Even though we all know they’ve the resources to look ripped, many black celebrities achieve their fitness goals by rolling up their sleeves and figuring out the old-fashioned way. For example, Halle Berry and Tracee Ellis Ross follow rigorous full-body programs. Meanwhile, Angela Bassett and Kerry Washington’s programs are effective but more relaxing, equivalent to pilates, cardio and weightlifting.
However, all these stars have in common beautifully sculpted arms, which inspires us to take up some serious strength training. Bicep curls help strengthen the bicep muscles in your arms. For strength training, you need to start by bending your elbow towards your body, then raise the weights to your shoulders, slowly lower them, and repeat. For more inspiration, take a look at a few of our favourite photos of stars rocking their arms below.
