Colman Domingo will star in the Netflix series “The Four Seasons” with Tina Fey and Steve Carell

Colman Domingo is adding a brand new TV role to his CV.

The 54-year-old actor has been forged in Netflix’s recent comedy series “The Four Seasons” alongside previously announced forged members Tina Fey and Steve Carell, the streamer revealed in a press release on Monday.

According to the release, the series, written and executive produced by Fey, is a television adaptation of the 1981 Universal Pictures film of the same name, written and directed by Alan Alda and starring Carol Burnett.

Original director Alda will produce the Netflix series with Fey. Lang Fisher, Tracey Wigfield, David Miner, Eric Gurian and Jeff Richmond round out the executive producers on the project, which is anticipated to start production later this yr. Fisher and Wigfield also wrote the series.

“The Four Seasons” is the latest project added to Domingo’s busy 2024 schedule. The actor will play Jackson family patriarch Joe Jackson in the upcoming Michael Jackson biopic “Michael,” and can be directing and starring in a musical about music icon Nat King Cole ‘at. The musical will be Domingo’s directorial debut.

“I’ve been working on it quietly for a few years,” Nat King Cole said about the project in one in every of the episodes Variety Awards Podcast in January. “I look forward to working with some great partners.”

In the same interview, Domingo talked about his role as Joe in the biopic “Michael,” which stars Michael’s real-life nephew, Jaafar Jackson, as the King of Pop. The film will be directed by acclaimed director Antoine Fuqua and is scheduled for release in 2025.

Domingo’s upcoming projects follow his first Oscar nomination for his portrayal of civil rights icon Bayard Rustin in the Netflix film “Rustin.”
