‘Unsolved’: True crime drama about Tupac and Biggie murders picked up by USA Network

Tupac and Biggie will soon be appearing on a small screen near you.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, USA Network just picked it up.
A brand new crime drama chronicling the twin police investigations into the suspected murders of two men caught in certainly one of hip-hop’s biggest rap barrels. shall be an anthology series, specializing in a distinct high-profile, unsolved case each season.
The first anthology is predicated on the experiences of former Los Angeles Police Department detective Greg Kading, who authored “Murder Rap: The Untold Story of Biggie Smalls & Tupac Shakur Murder Investigations,” based on the work of the numerous police task forces he led to investigating the 1996 case and the 1997 murder, respectively. He can be co-executive producer of the brand new series.
The forged can be taking shape. The forged includes newcomer Wavyy Jonez as Biggie and Marcc Rose as Tupac. Other faces featured within the series include musicians Luke James, who will play Sean “Diddy” Combs, and Letoya Luckett as Sharitha Golden, Suge Knight’s estranged wife.
The pilot and series were written and produced by alumnus Kyle Long. This is his first series.
The series is scheduled to be broadcast in the primary quarter of 2018, Appointment reports.
