Denim a deux: Angel Reese goes “Sky High” for Good American, and Telfar returns to his roots
Denim has long been a wardrobe staple, but because the “cowboy core” continues to gain popularity, “Levi‘s Jeans’ is dominating the scene, well-designed denim clothing – from classic jeans to jumpsuits, dresses and more – has been on the forefront of fashion these days. As one in all the few fashion trends that’s all the time fashionable for all genders, in recent times the denim industry has faced the constant challenge of making pieces that suit all body types.
As legacy brands look to diversify their denim offerings, Good American has turn into well-known for its inclusive collection of denim styles. Expanding its range of curve-friendly products, the brand recently tapped Angel Reese to star in the brand new “Sky High denim with long legs line. The NCAA women’s basketball champion takes center stage in Good American’s latest campaign, modeling the brand’s collection designed specifically for women ages 5’10 and older. Going beyond industry standards, the brand new collection’s stylish jeans are offered in 33- to 37-inch inseams, with modified knee placement and a variable rise to allow for longer torso length.

Good American is not the only Black-owned brand promoting denim this season. Telfar was released this week Denim Telfar, a modular clothing collection that reflects the ethos of its founders. Before the brand’s “shopping bags” became popular, the eponymous designer Telfar Clemens began his profession in 2004 by creating genderless clothing. The line, which incorporates straight-leg jeans, versatile jackets, skirts, shorts and more, continues the Black label’s mission to defy gender norms through fashion.
“With many of its core themes rooted in Telfar’s earliest collections, Telfar Denim reminds us that before the release of the bag, Telfar emerged in the early 21st century as one of fashion’s most original and conceptually rooted designers,” the brand said, according to Hypebeast. “This offering is the cornerstone of Telfar’s 2024 vision to refocus on clothing, but on its own terms – eschewing the fashion schedule and showroom system – building a wardrobe block by block.”
In true Telfar style, the brand offers a unique fashion experience to those purchasing the gathering: every purchase of a denim garment unlocks a matching denim bag. The collection, starting from $110 to $240, will be found on the web site telfar.net.
