The N-word seemingly appeared in an unofficial flyer for the film ‘Challengers’, sparking outrage among Zendaya’s fans
Fans are outraged after Films to Films saw unofficial promotional art for Zendaya’s upcoming film “Challengers.”
The photo shows the “Euphoria” star’s black silhouettes between white actors Josh O’Connor and Mike Faist, playing tennis, above the letters “CHALLE” and the remainder of the film’s title “NGERS” underneath.
Concerned fans quickly focused on the “NGERS” a part of the title, drawing direct comparisons to a deeply offensive racial slur that comprises the same letters.
“They called Zendaya what?” wrote user X.
“They KNEW what they were doing,” one person said published in October. As another person added“And that’s why hiring DEI is important.”

“This must be a parody,” one other user he wrote. “I don’t believe this is true.”
“They called Zendaya what?” – repeated the fourth.
Hugh Welchman is the founding father of Films to Films. The company noted the comments but declined to remove the post. Instead, the owner of the company’s social media page wrote, “Now that you’re talking nonsense here, here’s my YouTube channel.” addition link to his channel.
Many people said they weren’t interested in trying out his site.
One of over 200 answers he said“Do you think that if you were funny, smart, interesting, or knew something about movies, you wouldn’t have to make up fake posters to get attention?”
While her fans are attacking Film to Film over the poster, Zendaya is busy promoting the film. She said on her Instagram that this film really upset her because as an adult she had the responsibility of leading the film.
“This is my first time doing a film like this, so girls, you were nervous, but everyone’s excitement and encouragement was the most important thing for me,” she said. with subtitles.
“I’m honored to do this alongside these incredibly talented, brilliant (and hilarious) people. On behalf of all of us, we hope you enjoy the video and again… try not to judge the characters too much, lol, but also #teamtashi,” she continued.
“Challengers” centers on Zendaya’s lead role as Tashi, a former tennis prodigy turned coach who becomes the center of a love triangle between two former rivals. O’Connor and Faist play her husband and ex-boyfriend, each vying for her attention and physical affection.
On the other hand, several famous friends of the foremost character encouraged her.
Singer Maxwell wrote, “Zendaya, you can do no wrong!” Even Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, shared kind words: “You killed the movie @zendaya, it was amazing.”
