Fans discover an old tweet in which SZA once said that neither Ciara nor Rihanna could “hold a damn precious note” years before collaborating with one of them
Last 12 months, SZA expressed her “frustration” with her label Top Dawg Ent. she gave her song to Rihanna, which became “Consideration”.
However, the post with her criticism of Riri’s vocals on Ghost of Twitter’s Past (now on the X platform) has come back and is bothering her, which doesn’t please some music lovers.
On Wednesday, April 24, the “Snooze” chart-topper shared some sage advice with her 8.4 million followers on X. She wrote, “Pretending someone is silly or untalented since you don’t love them personally is lame to me lmao. You gotta bust that hater, ghost.
After spotting the mail, one of Rihanna’s virtual navy men yanked her social media soapbox out from under her and reminded her of something she said a little over 13 years ago, before her profession began.
“It was you,” one person wrote, sharing a screenshot of an old SZA post from February 26, 2011. The post, referring to a dispute between two famous singers, read: “I don’t understand. Neither @rihanna nor Ciara are worth a damn… One is just worse than the other. What is the beef?!?”

Although the “Kill Bill” singer has addressed the tweet in the past, namely after singing “Consideration” with RiRi from her hugely popular 2016 album “Anti,” trolls haven’t let her “hate” subside.
“Remember, she can’t even sing,” one person said he said. Other he wrote“Remember that Rih’s worst live vocals cleanse her best.”
A 3rd comment read: “At least these two don’t auto tune haha.”
The TDE princess herself has commented on the tweet in the past and stated that she was being petty when she insulted the girl she was recording with.
According to Vibe magazine SZA he said that she was petite and still working at a retail store when she posted the tweet. During this time, she also posted tweets criticizing Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj and a number of other other artists she currently faces on the charts.
“Beyonce looks more and more like Madonna every day! She could have sworn she was black at one point” – SZA he tweeted in a now-deleted post from 2015.
She also posted on her social media: “Nicki has a problem QUICKLY,” referring to Iggy Azalea. This tweet has also been deleted.
SZA has issued one other semi-apology after facing backlash over her arrival for some of the culture’s top artists. She wrote: “Lol Blah I was stupid at 19 sue me.”

Many people commented on the reposted tweet in favor of the “I Hate You” singer, noting how way back the post appeared.
One person said: “That was 13 years ago.”
Another was more direct and asked people to only “leave her alone.”
SZA won her first Grammy for her performance on Doja Cat’s for “Kiss Me More” in 2022. Since then, she has won three solo Grammy Awards. Rihanna has a total of nine Grammy Awards, and Ciara, who has yet to collaborate with SZA, has one. We hope this post’s reappearance doesn’t impact a potential collaboration between SZA and Ciara in the longer term.
