The tenant, who remained anonymous for security reasons, recounted their experience, revealing that on the weekend of April 13, they traveled from out of state to attend a horse competition hosted by their daughter. Accompanied by an elderly mother and 4 teenage girls, the group booked accommodation at an Airbnb on Leestown Road for his or her visit.

Coming back from dinner on April 13, the tenant described a disturbing discovery. “One of the girls came and told me her window was open. “My mother and I went and discovered that both windows in their room were open and ajar,” they said.

In response to tenants’ concerns, officers advised them to maneuver to a hotel in the event that they felt unsafe, providing assistance until they might pack their belongings and move to a nearby hotel.
