Ready to try something recent? Tabitha Brown tells Grio’s Writing Black how she does it
“Feeding the Soul was more about me liking (Tabitha), right? You know, I found freedom again,” she said. “I Made a New Thing” is about finding it; like me showing you a few of the things I do to open myself much more to my freedom; open up more about me; discover recent things about yourself – because we’re all always changing, right?”
Brown knows a thing or two about change; in lower than a decade, in the course of a world pandemic, her bubbly, down-to-earth personality combined together with her commitment to vegan living catapulted her from struggling actress to household name Emmy winner – with a house goods line at Target, amongst other ventures. Even with acceptance amongst Hollywood’s elite, her warmth and authenticity proceed to charm and encourage devoted fans and newcomers alike. She’s the primary to admit that she’s still developing; mainly by counting on the unknown.
“Sometimes we do not know what we like. We get to the purpose where we have done every little thing, we get right into a rut and we do not know what we like for the time being, and the one way to give you something recent that you simply like is to try something recent – or while you realize, “You know what, I actually don’t I like doing this thing anymore or I don’t like this thing,” she explained. “So that’s it for me. I kind of wanted to share my experience of doing a new thing that I’ve been doing for years. But now I can do it in free space, right? I’m a completely free woman, so I can do this and share it with others, in the hope that I will push others to do the same – you know, discover something new about themselves.”
