Contrary to appearances, digital networks have not yet killed the business card

Have you ever met someone, been handed a business card, but had nobody to give back?

Perhaps you offered another by saying “let’s connect on LinkedIn” or displayed it scannable QR code in your phone that contained a link to your data or offered to send you an SMS or email.

You may have thought that cards were not needed. You could also be fallacious, a minimum of not for all people and in all situations, and, strange because it could seem, young individuals are amongst those that may find them most useful of all.

My own informal survey of 61 LinkedIn contacts found that greater than half used each business cards and LinkedIn to introduce themselves, while one other 11% said they exclusively used cards, with just over a 3rd avoiding them altogether.
