SWV and Xscape will headline the ‘Queens of R&B’ tour with Mýa, 702 and Total

SWV and Xscape have announced that they will be headlining their latest “Queens of R&B” tour this summer with fellow R&B acts Mýa, 702 and Total joining them. People. Both iconic groups shared the news on Monday in exclusive clip on Sherri Shepherd’s talk show “Sherri.”

In the clip, producer Mona Scott-Young serves as a therapist for the members of Xscape (Kandi Burruss, Tameka “Tiny” Harris and Tamika Scott) and the members of SWV (Cheryl “Coko” Gamble, Tamara “Taj” George, and Leanne “Lelee” Lyons).

“The most important thing in a relationship is communication,” Scott-Young tells women. “Okay, you may not say much, but your presence here says a lot. This tells me you want to co-host a 30-city tour across the country this summer.”

The “Queens of R&B” tour, produced by Scott-Young’s Monami Entertainment and Live Nation, will kick off in June in Concord, California. Other cities on the tour include New York, Los Angeles, Detroit, Chicago and Atlanta.

“I am incredibly honored to be a part of this HERstory-making moment in R&B music, and announcing this tour during Women’s History Month will make it even more impactful,” Scott-Young told People. “What started as a TV series has turned into something much greater and I am proud to be producing this tour with Live Nation as Xscape and SWV along with the incredible talents of 702, Total and Mýa embark on this journey together.” .

SWV and Xscape initially planned to hit the road in 2023, documenting the making of Bravo’s “SWV & Xscape: The Queens of R&B.” However, the tour never got here to fruition because each groups were conflicted over who would headline. This feud appears to be in the past, as each groups headlined the Queens of R&B tour.

Tickets for this tour at the moment are available in Citi pre-sale. There will be additional pre-sales throughout the week, ending with a general sale on March 29 at 10 a.m. local time on Ticketmaster.
