Candiace Dillard Bassett Announces Departure from ‘RHOP’: ‘It’s Not Goodbye, But See You Later’

Candiace Dillard Bassett is leaving The Real Housewives of Potomac. The reality star confirmed her departure Peoplewhere she described her “gratitude” and described her departure as “not goodbye, but ‘see you later'”.

Confirming that he is not going to be returning to the favored “Real Housewives” franchise for the ninth season of “Potomac,” Dillard Bassett told People magazine: “As we enter a new chapter after six incredible years on “The Real Housewives of Potomac,” I’m stuffed with gratitude for the enriching friendships , personal growth and moments of introspection which have defined this journey.”

She then reveals that “a whirlwind of new opportunities and responsibilities on her plate” led to her decision to “take a break” from the series. “It’s not goodbye, but ‘so long.’

Addressing her fans directly, she said, “Your unwavering support is my guiding light and I look forward to the exciting adventures that lie ahead – and more importantly, sharing them with you!”

The current season of “The Real Housewives of Potomac” finale took place on Sunday night, and the reunion was scheduled to air in April. While Dillard Bassett has had her fair proportion of drama on the show since she joined in Season 3, Season 7 found her in fractured relationships with OGs and former friends Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon.

She has also developed her own profession as a musician and actress working on the “Real Housewives” platform, releasing her debut album “Deep Space” in 2021, and in addition appearing within the ALLBLK series “Hush”. Last 12 months she told us: “This platform could be very powerful and I made a decision to make use of it to develop my music profession, my acting profession and my profession as an entrepreneur and businesswoman. It’s nice that folks see it, appreciate it and understand what I wanted to realize here.
