Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green may enjoy clashes on the basketball court, but he’s great at resolving conflicts between his children. The star’s parenting skills were on display at a recent press conference when his two children, Draymond Jr. and Cash, had an accident.

While the NBA champion was speaking, his daughter Cash walked as much as the rostrum and said in a sweet voice, “Draymond hit me with the ball.” Green, who began with “Hey, honey,” paused to choose up and hug his daughter, confirming what she said, while his son interrupted him and said he did it because Cash pushed him.

Green, 34, told them to hug one another and emphasized that his namesake “real hugged” his sister. The two children embraced and Green continued talking.

This is not the primary heartwarming moment we have witnessed on the rostrum between Green and his children. The Golden State Warriors player often takes them with him to interviews. This can be not the primary time his children have interfered in post-game conference calls, as they joined him after Golden State’s 127-100 victory over the Lakers at Chase Center in May 2023.

During this time, Cash interrupted the interview to complain that her brother was copying her.

“Tell him to stop copying you. …OK, okay, just a minute, let daddy finish, OK,” he replied. This led to the athlete discussing the challenges of being a working parent.

“We miss a lot of time spent with our children,” Green explained. “I think it’s not just about us as basketball players; you have an obligation to provide care for your child. Growing up in the conditions that I grew up in, I don’t want them to ever experience that,” said Green, who was raised in Saginaw, Michigan.

“It involves a lot of work. The times you miss suck. I think everyone here who is a parent understands that. When you can share these moments with them, it’s special. I look back at some of these photos… and you really appreciate them. I am forever grateful to the Warriors organization and the NBA as a whole,” Green said, playfully hugging each children.

Green is married to Hazel Renee and so they married in the autumn of 2022, and their blended family has 4 children. The couple has two daughters together – Cash Green and their second daughter, whom they recently welcomed in 2023. Additionally, the NBA player has Draymond Jr. from a previous relationship, and Renee has a daughter, Olive Jay, along with her previous partner.
