Jamie Foxx appears to be recovering from an undisclosed “medical complication” in April 2023.

The The star took to Instagram to notify his fans with a photograph of himself standing within the doorway of what gave the impression to be a thatched hut, holding a pair of red Crocs.

“You’re looking at a man who’s grateful… I’m finally starting to feel like myself…” the actor said within the caption.

He then thanked his fans for his or her wishes.

“I have many people to thank… you just don’t know how much it meant… I will thank you all personally… and if you don’t know… GOD IS GOOD… all day, every day…”

Fans became increasingly concerned when his daughter Corinne updated the general public on her father’s health via a now-deleted Instagram post. Younger Foxx didn’t provide details about her dad’s condition, apart from to say he had experienced “medical complications.”

The rumors began to flow into when the actor’s family was visited at a Chicago rehabilitation center that makes a speciality of treating strokes and brain and spinal cord injuries.

Other than rejecting false claims as for Foxx’s condition, his camp has been tight-lipped about the main points of his recovery. Fans were left in the dead of night for 3 months until the actor was spotted sitting on a yacht in Chicago on July 9. Foxx gave the impression to be in good health on the time he waved to the cheering fans.

On July 22, Foxx addressed fans in an Instagram video. He thanked everyone for his or her support and explained why he remained silent for months, stating:

“I do know a whole lot of people were waiting or wanting to listen to updates, but truthfully, I just didn’t want you to see me like that, man. I need you to see me laughing, having fun, joking, making a movie or TV show. I didn’t want you to see me with tubes coming out of me and wonder if I used to be going to make it through.

In the three-minute video, he thanked his medical team, family and friends for his or her roles in his recovery.

“I’m here on Earth due to wonderful people. I’m here on Earth due to God, man. I’m on my way back.”
