Storm Reid and Teyana Taylor Collaborate on Paramount’s Upcoming Film ‘Get Lite’
Actresses Storm Reid and Teyana Taylor are teaming up for an upcoming project for Paramount.
Taylor will direct the upcoming film “Get Lite,” which can star Reid within the lead role. This project shall be Taylor’s directorial debut. Deadline reported that the film shall be produced by Reid’s multimedia production house, A Seed & Wings Production and Khalabo Ink Society from Kenya Barris.
“Get Lite” tells the story of the blossoming romance of a New York teenager whose life changes after falling in love with a beatmaker. Reid’s character (a beat maker) encourages a youngster to hitch her dance group, Litefeet, which puts him in a dilemma: whether to decide on his studies or his passion for dance.

It’s no wonder that the love of dance was on the forefront of Taylor’s directorial debut.
The versatile performer initially entered the entertainment industry as a choreographer and dancer. She collaborated with famous artists equivalent to Beyoncé and Kanye West, and on the age of 15 received a recording contract from Pharrell Williams. Taylor has since branched out into acting and received much praise for her starring role within the drama “A Thousand And One.”
Reid also boasts a formidable acting resume. The young actress appeared in “A Wrinkle in Time”, “Euphoria”, “The Invisible Man”, “The Nun II”, “The Missing” and many other projects. She recently won her first Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Riley on HBO’s 2023 series “The Last of Us.”
“Get Lite” shall be produced by Bill Karesh, Robyn Simpson and Anni Weisband. Executive producers include Taylor, Coco Gilbert, who serves as co-producer, and Eric Gross, who will function author on the project.
