Don Lemon claims that X is hiding his interview with Elon Musk

Don Lemon is skeptical in regards to the viewership of his latest interview with X, claiming that the variety of views on the social networking site formerly referred to as Twitter “just doesn’t make sense.”

As theGrio previously reported, Lemon’s long-awaited recent series “The Don Lemon Show” premiered online on Monday and featured an interview with X owner Elon Musk. Lemon’s first series following his widely publicized departure from CNN was originally a part of a deal with the social media site to publish exclusive clips from the series. However, a number of days before the launch, Musk reportedly sent Lemon a text message saying that the deal had been terminated, after he had already recorded an interview with Lemon.

The premiere episode appeared on multiple platforms, including YouTube, Apple Podcasts, Spotify and, despite the conflict with Musk, even X. Lemon said Poulticenevertheless, he believes that the interview is being hidden on the web site.

“It seems to defy credulity that if 21 million people engage with my post on X by announcing my new show, then as of this afternoon only a few hundred thousand will be interested in interviewing on X,” Lemon told the outlet. “It just doesn’t make sense.”

Rep. Lemon also told this website: “X clearly suppresses free speech. Don’s interview has been classified by X, so fewer people see it.”

The official X News account responded to The Wrap’s story: writing“There is no suppression here – X believes in freedom of speech. Maybe it’s worth checking YouTube, there are only 188,000. views!” X Business account also sent in regards to the interview with Lemon, citing information in regards to the viewership and development of the interview on the web site with a timestamp.

Over the weekend, Lemon opened as much as People magazine about breaking off his relationship with Musk after the interview, saying: “He’s not used to being held accountable. He’s not used to answering to anyone, especially someone like me who doesn’t share his worldview and doesn’t appear to be him.

The premiere episode of “The Don Lemon Show,” featuring his much-discussed interview, is now available to stream.
