Boris Kodjoe patrols his children’s social media: “I block and delete people”

Actor Boris Kodjoe takes his role as a protector seriously, especially with regards to his children. The actor says he watches his two children, 19-year-old daughter Sophie and 18-year-old son Nicolas, especially on social media.

While appearing on the show, the host asked Kodjoe if it was true that he was patrolling Sophie’s Instagram, to which he replied “absolutely.”

When Hudson got here up and asked what Sophie thought of it, he replied, “I don’t care,” with a straight face, while the audience erupted in laughter. Sophie is Boris’s only daughter, whom he shares with his longtime wife Nicole Ari Parker.

Hudson made sure to ask if Kodjoe passes on the identical energy to his son Nicolas and confirmed that he does, especially since he’s the “baby” of the family.

“Well, he’s six-foot-six.” He’s not a child, but he’s six-foot-six and a basketball player. That’s why I travel so much with basketball – in Atlanta, DC and all over the place,” the 51-year-old said.

“So I am going into his DM and clean it up. I block and delete people,” he concluded.

Hudson asked if the actor could really block and delete people from his children’s pages and chats.

“It doesn’t matter if I succeed, I will do it,” the actor said confidently.

During the interview, Kodjoe also talked about how he managed to remain married for 19 years.

“There is not any trick. You just cannot hand over,” he said.

He continued: “Everyone is reviewing their affairs, individually and as a pair. You have to offer one another space to make mistakes, you could have to offer one another space to apologize and forgive. You need to offer one another space to grow, mature, and, like I said, mess up.

Kodjoe and Parker, 53, first met while filming together in 2000. In the second season, the actor took a photograph, and in 2005, the couple married in Kodjoe’s hometown of Gundelfingen, Germany.
