‘Power’ duo Ghost and Tommy to create spinoff series for STARZ
STARZ is finally giving ‘Power’ fans an original storyline that may showcase Ghost and Tommy’s upbringing.
STARZ on Wednesday announced the fourth expansion of the “Power” universe with the “Origins” prequel series currently in development. According to a press release, the spin-off will explore “the ‘Power’ universe in a fresh way, delving into the origin stories of fan-favorite characters Ghost and Tommy.”
“As we approach the 10th anniversary of Power, it is incredible to witness the tremendous connection our fans have with the world of Power,” Kathryn Busby, STARZ president of programming, said in an announcement. “We look forward to seeing how Origins continues to expand this dynamic series while providing our viewers with a fresh, engaging and expansive story.”
Since “Power” resulted in 2020, viewers of the show have been clamoring for an extra version that tells the stories of the favored characters that fans have come to love over six seasons.

News of the series’ fourth spinoff arrived ahead of Thursday’s announcement of the ultimate season of “Power Book II: Ghost,” which is able to premiere later this summer. Other “Power” installments include “Power Book III: Raising Kanan,” whose fourth season is currently filming in New York, and “Power Book IV: Force,” whose third season is currently filming in Chicago.
Sascha Penn is the manager producer of Origins. Courtney A. Kemp, creator and showrunner of the unique “Power,” can even remain executive producer of the “Power” Universe series.
