Detavio Samuels discusses the “new era of entertainment” in Revolt
It’s no secret that there was a change at Revolt, nevertheless it doesn’t change the platform’s mission. The company’s goal stays the same, with an extra feature that has taken the world by storm and is actually the future. With the development of artificial intelligence, Revolt has re-created narratives that move in a distinct direction and make the public think.
Revolt, which celebrated its tenth anniversary in 2023, is looking forward to the next edition of REVOLT WORLD, which can be held in Atlanta again in 2024, the company doesn’t change its expectations for achievement.
Revolt CEO Detavio Samuels, who gave BLACK ENTERPRISES a glance into the future of Revolt, says the company will introduce recent software, a brand new structure and higher programming.
“What doesn’t change is the vision and mission,” Samuels says. “In other words, our goal remains to be the same. We are here to alter the narrative for Black people in all places by constructing the strongest creator-powered Black storytelling engine in the world, right? So it hasn’t modified.”
What Samuels describes as the “new era of entertainment” is going down where most individuals live and breathe – on social media.
“So we see that it will be important for media brands in the future to stop focusing on one lane. You can’t just be a cable company. You can’t just be a technology company. You have to meet these people where they are and learn about all the experiences they have personally enjoyed.”
As Black History Month got here to an end, Revolt launched a campaign that reimagined history, but from a Black perspective and using the power of artificial intelligence
“I was tired of lying, so when the agency gave me the idea of reimagining or imagining new worlds through the transformer, the power of artificial intelligence, I jumped at it,” Samuels says. “It allows us to introduce recent narratives to our culture, recent narratives to our audience, ideas that may cost hundreds of thousands to implement when you went out and produced them. But in real life we can do it without spending a dime.
“If people have not gotten it yet, it’s only a general retelling of history, but from a Black perspective, where we control the narrative, if not the narrative, then no less than the historical features of what is going on on, who got here up with the idea for this particular one. “
Samuels says Revolt can also be launching a women’s channel.
“We have been building our women’s group over the last few years. We want to try to provide them with excellent service in a way that we don’t see in the market. We want to find and identify entertainment content for Black women, but we also want to create a platform that empowers them to lead their own revolution, advance their causes and amplify their voices.”
In addition to mentioning specific projects that may delve into the history of essential Black moments that the world should find out about, Samuels wants to have interaction creators and hold an “in-house creative residency” for Revolt.
