Serena Williams undergoes ‘stunning’ transformation after criticism over her unrecognizable appearance during Paris Fashion Week

Serena Williams is receiving praise from fans after her makeup artist Renny Vasquez shared a brand new glam video of the tennis star following criticism about her appearance during Paris Fashion Week.

The Olympic champion was criticized earlier this month after fans claimed her unrecognizable appearance made her melanin look “bloody faded”, sparking debates about her skin color and makeup.

Williams is thought for sometimes wearing makeup, but in a video posted to Instagram on March 13, she absolutely showed off her latest glamorous look. In the short clip, she could be seen wearing an all-black ensemble with natural and warm shades that highlight her gorgeous cheekbones.

The 42-year-old wore a honey-blonde wig within the video, just like the one she wore to Fashion Week and the Oscars last weekend, but some fans thought her makeup was on a lighter complexion while in Paris. However, fans didn’t criticize her latest glam look.

Vasquez shared a video signature“I’m so happy I get to hang out and look great with one of my absolute favorite girls @serenawilliams. I truly love and adore her, her beauty inside and out. By the way… you know I can’t go anywhere without my @makiajbeautylight to do my makeup and take some content with, so of course I had to share it with my girlfriend and team. @angelameadowssalon killed her hair @kmcme17 did her thing in styling!”

A member of Vasquez’s team could be seen holding a Makiaj beauty lamp to Williams’ face to indicate off his impressive work. She can then be seen kissing the camera and getting up from her chair while Usher’s song “Good Kisser” plays within the background.

Fans loved Williams’ striking recent look and reacted within the comments section. “You ate it…. looks stunning” he wrote one. Another added: “Yes, you are right!”

“He FINALLY has to stop you. People speak about her appearance so often that she looks great,” one other commented.

The mother of two also wowed fans with her appearance on the Vanity Fair Oscars party on March 10 in Los Angeles.

The sports icon dazzled in a floor-length black evening dress with red and white trim, which she paired with matching long black gloves.

Although Vasquez didn’t do her makeup for the Oscars, fans loved her recent look and suggested she keep whoever did her glam search for the occasion. “Stop the person who did THIS MAKEUP” he wrote one.

Williams likely returned home with her husband, entrepreneur and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, and their two children; daughters Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr., 6, and Adira River Ohanian, the latter of whom was born last August. She revealed about her second pregnancy in May during the 2023 Met Gala ceremony.
