An American Airlines flight had to turn back because a passenger farted excessively. Due to interference, the gas aggressor was faraway from the flight.

Incident he made his rounds on the Austin subreddit revealed by , and passengers traveling from Phoenix to the Texas city on January 14 talk concerning the ordeal. The unidentified passenger became a good greater nuisance to his fellow passengers when he began doing this on purpose.

A Reddit user sitting next to the person overheard him say: “You thought that was rude? How about this scent? He immediately began farting loudly, much to the horror of those around him. It was unclear what inspired his initial act of rudeness, but the problem sparked a fit of shock.

“(I don’t) know what prompted this comment, and while it was quite funny to overhear it, it was inappropriate, especially from an adult male on an airplane,” the passenger said.

The travelers around him began to react to the continuously farting man, who was believed to be using the scent to combat one other odor coming from a close-by passenger. As the exchange became increasingly heated and smelly, the flight crew had no alternative but to treatment the issue by allowing the person to leave the plane.

Fortunately, the situation didn’t cross the runway, allowing the Austin-bound plane to return to the gate, where a flight attendant delivered a message to the controversial flier.

“We return to the gate and the flight attendant comes back and informs Fartman that he will not be staying on this flight,” the Redditor detailed. “He simply replies, ‘I don’t understand,’ and she tells him they’ll talk about it outside the plane.”

From their accounts, the anonymous fart got off without one other blow.

“He stands up, grabs his bag and quietly exits the plane. We all breathed a sigh of relief when it was removed. I think most people were nervous about what he might say or do next. The trip was only delayed by 15-30 minutes, so overall I think American handled it quickly.”

With the airline refusing to comment publicly on the matter, a case of extreme flatulence will not be one it wants publicized.
