Watch: Following study, group calls for resources to combat cancer risk in Black communities

New research reveals a possible reason why minority communities face higher cancer risks in the wild.
A brand new study from the National Minority Quality Forum has been submitted to the White House in hopes that resources will probably be provided to Black and Brown communities. Studies have shown that 56% of individuals living in toxic environments are minorities. This may contribute to the high rate of cancer amongst black people. Adjoa Kyerematen, the forum’s vp of public affairs and communications, joins “theGrio with Marc Lamont Hill” to explain why Black communities are more susceptible to cancer.
